Based on the true story of Robert Willy Pickton, a serial killer of women who raised pigs and committed the murders on his own farm.
After a series of encounters, a ruthless serial killer uses his operations as a pig farmer as the cover he needs to carry out the crimes he commits to appease his damaged past. When an equally damaged young woman enters his life, she becomes the maniac’s next potential victim.
Overall, it’s a fairly entertaining genre effort. One of the highlights is that it manages to provide a solid backstory for the killer’s exploits. It takes a rather novel approach here, with the abused pervert who casually kills women due to the deep connection he has with the constant flashbacks recounting the bullying he suffered as a child, as well as the incestuous nature of his relationship with his mother.
